ready for Field Testing: See Me Cane’s Next Big Step + Eliza Joe Interview

Hey friends,

There’s a lot happening with the See Me Cane, and I want to keep you in the loop! From continued development and testing to new video series and an inspiring interview—this week is all about forward movement and encouragement.

✅ See Me Cane Development Update

We’re still deep in the testing phase! Right now, we’re carefully checking each part of the See Me Cane—especially the battery system, vibration alerts, and LED flicker behavior. These tests are critical to make sure the cane performs safely and reliably before we send it off for production testing.

One important design element we’ve been getting a lot of questions about is the tip connection. The See Me Cane is built using Ambutech tips, but because the cane shaft is slightly wider than standard, hook-on or slip-on tips aren’t compatible. That’s why we’re currently using a threaded tip design—it’s the most secure and reliable option given the cane’s custom dimensions. We’ll continue evaluating this as we move forward.

🎥 “Did You See Me Today?” Series

We just launched a brand-new video series on YouTube and TikTok called “Did You See Me Today?”. These short videos offer real glimpses into life using the See Me Cane. The goal? To encourage others, show what’s possible, and remind the world that blind and visually impaired people deserve to be seen—every day.
